We are looking for an experienced, confident pastry chef to join our bakery team in Leyton, London. Our bakery team combines years of experience with excellent knowledge, training and enthusiasm ensuring our bread and pastry are some of the best in London and the UK. We now have an opportunity to add another pastry chef to the section, who can work alongside our head of pastry and the rest of the team to create world class viennoiserie with rigorous standards of production. This will involve some night baking, and therefore you must be happy to work night/early morning shifts.
Our bakery prides itself on doing the classics, exceptionally well. An understanding of traditional viennoiserie and an interest in the culture of current baking trends is vital for our team - we may have a small offering but we take great pride in those key products. Our bakery is a large, bright space in London’s east end and offers the very best in equipment and ingredients - freshly milled British flour, single estate chocolate and organic butter make for the best pastries and we uphold rigorous standards on every ingredient we use.
Our bakery is the perfect place for someone enthusiastic and creative to exercise their baking and pastry skills, and we’re looking for someone who truly loves the industry and the products they create.
The right candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in a professional pastry kitchen of some kind (hotel, restaurant, bakery etc.) and must be able to work with excellent consistency and personal standards under the guidance of the head bakers and the owner.
Most importantly, we want someone with the right attitude, who works wonderfully as part of a team and who has a positive and upbeat energy to add to our team.
