Kitchen Porter - Pavilion Bakery
We're looking for a kitchen porter to join our busy, seasonal kitchen team in Victoria Park. After a brand new kitchen was installed last month, we've got the perfect place for someone enthusiastic and creative to grow their kitchen experience. Pavilion aims to champion classic, British nostalgic food that is flavour led. We don't serve meat at any of our sites; we're serious about our food having the smallest environmental impact possible. Vegetables, fruit, British dairy produce, fresh fish, and excellent herbs and spices lead the way for us.
The main purpose of a Kitchen Porter is to efficiently manage the pot washing section of the kitchen as well as making sure the kitchen and front of house has everything needed whilst following strict hygiene, health and safety rules. As well as this you will be expected to carry out simple food preparation duties under the supervision of our team of chefs who will guide you in all your duties. This is a role for a good listener, a hard worker and someone who appreciates a clean kitchen and stays calm in the middle of a busy kitchen service!
Basic Duties:
- Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
- Collect and wash up pots and pans.
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment.
- Unload food and equipment deliveries.
- Keep the storeroom organised.
- Keep cool room tidy and organized
- Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised
