We are looking for an experienced, confident sourdough baker to join our team in Leyton, London. Our bakery team combines years of experience with excellent knowledge, training and enthusiasm ensuring our bread and pastry are some of the best in London and the UK. We now have an opportunity to add another experienced baker to the section, who can work alongside our head baker and the rest of the team to create the very best sourdough bread and seasonal products.
Our bakery prides itself on doing the classics, exceptionally well. An understanding of traditional sourdough baking and an interest in the culture of current baking trends is vital for our team. We believe in slow ferments, hand shaping and a proper understanding of the art of baking. We may have a small offering but we take great pride in those key products. Our bakery is a large, bright space in London’s east end and offers the very best in equipment and ingredients - fresh flour, single estate chocolate and french butter make for the best pastries and we uphold rigorous standards on every ingredient we use.
Our bakery is the perfect place for someone enthusiastic and creative to exercise their baking skills, and we’re looking for someone who truly loves the industry and the products they create.
The right candidate will have a minimum of one years experience in a professional, artisan bakery and must be able to work with excellent consistency and personal standards under the guidance of the head bakers and the owner. As usual in bakeries, your working hours will involve early mornings, night shifts and weekends all based in Leyton so easy access to the site is a must.
In return you'll be offered an strong starting salary, a four day working week (four days on, three days off!), a bi-weekly organic fruit and veg box and as much food and drink as you'd like when you visit our cafe sites!
